
Women's Soccer Hosts Princeton on Saturday with Ivy League Title Hopes on the Line

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown University (9-2-4, 3-1-2 Ivy) welcomes Princeton University (6-5-3, 4-2-0 Ivy) to Stevenson-Pincince Field on Saturday, November 1 at 1 p.m. With a victory, the Bears can clinch at least a share of the Ivy League Championship.
Saturday is Senior Day, and Brown will celebrate Shoshana Gevelber, Hayley Houston, Olivia Hall, Bella Schopp, Naya Cardoza, and Layla Shell.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with Mike Rubin '00, Mike Mancuso '98, and Scott Cordischi on the call.
TITLE SCENARIOS
If Brown wins, the Bears would have 14 points and move into first place. Currently tied with Brown in second place in the league is Dartmouth (11 points), which hosts Cornell at 5 p.m. If Princeton wins (currently 12 points), the Tigers would win the Ivy League outright.
IVY LEAGUE TOURNAMENT
The third installment of the Ivy League Tournament begins on Thursday, November 6, at the site of the top seed. The semifinals will take place at 3:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., with the championship scheduled for Sunday, November 9, at 1:00 p.m. All postseason matches will stream on ESPN+.
SCOUTING THE BEARS (9-2-4, 3-1-2 Ivy)
The Bears are coming off a 2-0 shutout at Cornell. In the victory, freshman goalkeeper Addison Etter earned a seven-save shutout in her first collegiate start. Joy Okonye found the net to tie Cardoza atop the Ivy League with seven goals in 2025. Okonye also leads the league with 19 total points.
The league's leading offense, Brown paces all Ivy programs in assists per game (1.73), corner kicks per game (6.67), goal differential (+21), points per game (6.13), and total points (92), as well as seven other statistical categories.
SCOUTING THE TIGERS (6-5-3, 4-2-0 Ivy)
The Tigers enter Providence on a four-match win streak and are coming off a 2-0 win over Columbia. Alexandra Barry leads the way with three goals for Princeton.
PROMOTIONS
The Bears will have face painting, poster-making, a spin-to-win prize wheel, lawn games, and a Cub Club station from pregame of the women's soccer game through the start of the men's soccer game. Brown is also running a concessions promotion, offering free hot chocolate to the first 50 fans to order at each game (note: limited to one per person, per match).
