Bio
2024: Named First Team All-Ivy, started and appeared in all 17 games as a sophomore. Recorded one assist against Hofstra (Aug. 29) and Yale (Oct. 9). Okonye was one of seven Bears to accumulate over 1,000 minutes played.
2023: Earned the Kate Silver ‘86 Award as the most outstanding first-year varsity female athlete. Named to the All-Ivy League Honorable Mention Team as well as being voted Rookie of the Year by her teammates at the annual team banquet. Led the Ivy League with eight assists, earned two assists on three separate occasions in 2023, including her first-career appearance (Aug. 25). Helped Brown win its fourth consecutive and league-leading 16th ivy league title.
Before Brown: Member of the Black Rock club team ... Played varsity soccer at the Canterbury School ... Holds the school record for most goals in a career with 93 in 52 games ... Two-time All-Region, All-State, and All-New England selection ... Named an All-American as a senior (2022) ... Member of the Canterbury Honor Society.
Personal: Daughter of Emeka and John ... Has one sibling, Godstime.
