PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown Women's Soccer legend Brittany Raphino '23.5 was called up to the Haitian Women's National Football Team during Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) World Cup Qualifiers for Brazil 2027. Raphino will make her debut on April 9 against Anguilla at Stade Roger Zami, before taking on current Bear Angelina Vargas '27 and the Dominican Republic on April 17 at 8 p.m. local time.
Currently playing professionally for Campeonato Nacional Feminino club Sporting CP, Raphino has 17 goals for the Portuguese football team. She signed with Sporting CP after a historic career that included becoming the first women's soccer student-athlete to be named a three-time All-American. Raphino was a three-time Ivy League Offensive Player of the Year (2021-23), the 2019 Ivy League Rookie of the Year, and a four-time First Team All-Ivy. Raphino was the first Ivy League women's soccer athlete ever to win a major award in all four years, was Brown's fifth four-time first-team selection (the first since Suzanne Bailey, 1987-90), and the first in the league since Harvard's Midge Purce (2013-16). She ended her collegiate career with 42 goals and 20 assists.
No stranger to international play, Raphino competed with the U23 United States team in 2023.
