Scott Cordischi accepted the role of Social Media Specialist for Brown University Athletics in November of 2018. In that role, he oversees the athletic department's social media platforms and helps provide creative content for our 34 varsity teams.
Prior to serving in this role, Scott was the Director of Football Operations here at Brown from 2013-2018. In that role, Scott helped to create and enhance the team's social media platforms on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram providing engaging content for fans of the program.
Scott's involvement with Brown Athletics dates back to 1994 when he first served as Public Address Announcer for football and men's basketball games. In 1995, he moved into the radio booth serving as color analyst for Brown Football games. He would eventually become the play-by-play voice of the Bears football team in 1998 - a role he still maintains to this day.
Scott also serves as the play-by-play voice for Brown Men's Basketball. He has done so since 2001.
A long-time popular sports talk show host in Rhode Island, Scott hosted an afternoon drive show called "The Sportsbeat" on both AM 630 WPRO and on AM 790 WSKO - The Score from 1995-2008.
Winner of multiple Associated Press awards for best sportscaster and best sports show, he currently hosts a weekend sports call-in show entitled "Cordischi & Coit" on 103.7 FM - WEEI in Providence on Saturday mornings.
A 1989 graduate of Syracuse University where he received a degree in Television, Radio & Film Management from the prestigious Newhouse School of Public Communications, Scott and his wife Karen live in Rumford and have two children - Jack and Ellie.
