Media Credentials
All credential requests to cover Brown athletic programs should be directed to the appropriate sports contact in the Office of Athletic Communications (above). Media members should provide at least five days before requested football games and two weekdays for all other sports. Requests may be made by phone or email. Brown reserves the right to accept or reject credential requests for any reason. Credentials will be issued only to accredited members of the working media.
Credentials will be mailed if time permits, or may be picked up at will call. All credentials are non-transferable.
Interviews
Interviews with student-athletes, including those immediately following a contest, must be arranged through Brown's Office of Athletic Communications.
For all interviews other than those following a contest, the requestor shall forward the following information: the requesting editor or writer's name and email address, the organization or publication's name, the deadline information, and a sentence regarding the story's scope.
Please note that, per Department of Athletics policy, student-athletes' telephone numbers and email addresses will not be released to the media. If you need a telephone interview, the student-athlete will be arranged to call the requesting outlet. Game-day interviews will be granted after the contest.
Radio Broadcasts
Stations wishing to broadcast Brown athletic events must make arrangements through the Office of Athletic Communications at least two weeks before the requested game.
Photographers/Television Crews
Arrangements should be made with the Office of Athletic Communications for anyone who wishes to film/photograph Brown games. A photo pass is required to take photographs at Brown University sporting events. Photographers may secure a pass by contacting the Office of Athletic Communications at least 24 hours before the contest. Photographers are not allowed in the team bench area of any sporting event. Various events will have additional restrictions on photographer locations. Please confirm with the Athletic Communications staff regarding appropriate locations to shoot.
