Men's Hockey Hosts Harvard and No. 12 Dartmouth in Weekend Series

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown Bears (4-19-1, 3-12-1 ECAC) return to Meehan Auditorium to host a pair of longtime rivals, beginning with a Friday matchup against the Harvard Crimson (113-10-1, 10-6-0 ECAC) before a Saturday tilt with the 12th-ranked Dartmouth Big Green (17-6-1, 11-4-1 ECAC).
Friday's game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. with Saturday's puck drop set for 4 p.m. Both games will stream on ESPN+ in the United States and on Stretch Internet internationally.

SCOUTING THE BEARS
- Brown enters the weekend with a 4-19-1 overall record and 3-12-1 ECAC mark. The Bears look to climb the ECAC standings and are eight points back of Clarkson in eighth with two games at hand.
- Brown's offense averages 2.2 goals per game with Ben Poitras leading the squad with nine goals. Sophomore Ivan Zadvernyuk leads the team with 11 assists and 17 points.
- Brown's power play has five goals in 66 attempts (7.6%). Poitras leads the Bears with two power play goals and Brian Nicholas leads the way with three assists on the man-advantage.
- Defensively, Brown allows 3.8 goals per game to rank 11th in the conference. Goaltender Tyler Shea holds a 3.19 goals against average and .911 save percentage in 17 starts. Shea's 32.63 saves per 60 minutes leads the ECAC and ranks fifth in the NCAA.
- Brown's penalty kill clicks at 73.6% (64-87) to rank 11th in the conference.
- Brown ranks ninth in the ECAC at the faceoff dot, winning 48.6% of draws.
- Harvard enters the weekend with a 13-10-1 overall record and 10-6-0 ECAC mark. The Crimson are fifth in the league standings with 30 points and are receiving votes in both national polls.
- Harvard's offense averages 3.0 goals per game to rank sixth in the conference and 29th nationally.
- Casey Severo and Philip Tresca lead the Crimson with eight goals apiece. Mick Thompson leads the squad with 16 assists and 23 points. Eight skaters have double-digit points this season and six have at least five goals.
- Harvard's power play clicks at 15.5% (11-71) to rank ninth in the conference and 50th nationally.
- Defensively, Harvard allows 2.8 goals per game to rank sixth in the ECAC and 27th nationally.
- Goaltender Ben Charette has started every game for the Crimson and holds a 2.71 goals against average and .909 save percentage.
- Harvard's penalty kill ranks second in the conference and nation at 89.4% (59-66). Harvard has allowed just three power play goals in conference games this season.
- Harvard ranks 10th in the ECAC and 54th nationally at the faceoff dot (47.3%).
- Friday marks the 188th meeting between Brown and Harvard in a series dating back to 1898.
- Harvard owns the series edge, 121-50-16, along with a 38-20-9 record at Meehan Auditorium.
- Brown is 3-4-3 in the last 10 meetings.
- Dartmouth enters the weekend with a 17-6-1 overall record and 11-4-1 conference mark. The Big Green are 12th in the USCHO.com poll and 13th in the USA Hockey Poll.

- Hayden Stavroff leads the team with 22 goals and 33 points. His 22 goals are the most in the NCAA. Hank Cleaves leads the squad with 18 assists.

- Defensively, Dartmouth allows 2.0 goals per game to lead the conference and rank second nationally.
- Between the pipes, Emmett Croteau owns a 1.71 goals against average and .930 save percentage in 14 starts.
- Dartmouth's penalty kill ranks third in the conference and fourth nationally at 87.9% (51-58). Dartmouth has allowed just five power play goals against ECAC opponents this season.
- Dartmouth ranks third in the conference and 12th nationally at the faceoff dot (53.0%).
- Saturday is the 172nd meeting between the Bears and Big Green dating back to 1928.
- Dartmouth is 90-72-9 all-time against the Bears. Brown holds a 34-26-6 record at Meehan Auditorium against Dartmouth.
- Captain Alex Pineau ranks fifth in the NCAA with 25:48 average time on ice per game. That mark is second among ECAC skaters, trailing Colgate's Michael Neumeier (26:45), who ranks second in the nation.
- Freshman Matt Desiderio ranks third in the conference and seventh nationally with 25:18 average time on ice.
