Women’s Soccer Set to Travel to UConn on Thursday

STORRS, Conn. – The Brown women's soccer team will make the short trip to Storrs, Connecticut, to take on the University of Connecticut Huskies on Thursday. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
The game will be broadcast live on UCONN+.
Scouting The Bears (2-0-0)
The Bears have started the season strong, with two wins in their first two games.
Joy Okonye leads Brown with two goals and an assist so far this season. Sophomore Ayla Sahin has scored in each of the first two games for the Bears, including what became the game-winner against Rhode Island.
The Bears have been dominant defensively, allowing just seven shots through the first two games. They've outscored their opponents 6-2, while finding success on set pieces, as three of their goals have come from free kicks and corner kicks.
Scouting The Huskies (1-1-0)
The Huskies most recently lost at Texas A&M on Saturday by a score of 2-1. They were victorious in their lone home game against Stony Brook, winning 1-0.
UConn has been narrowly outshot 17-16 this season, but has recorded seven shots on goal to their opponents' four.
History
UConn has dominated the overall series, but the Bears have shown resilience in recent history, winning the last two matchups.
Brown has not played UConn since 2021, when they defeated the Huskies 5-0 in a rout. They also defeated the Huskies 2-0 in 2019.
