During the team’s first season as a varsity program in 2020-21, Zonnenberg helped the Bears win both the NEISA Women’s and Coed Championships. He aided Brown in qualifying for all three spring national championships with the team placing fourth, sixth, and 11th at the ICSA Women’s, Team Race, and Coed National Championships respectively.
A 2015 graduate from the University of Vermont, Zonnenberg was named a Second Team All-New England Skipper and was the winner of the New England Senior Award in 2015. Having him at practice on a daily basis and coaching every weekend has been instrumental for the team’s development.
