Women’s Lacrosse Opens Ivy League Play at Cornell on Friday, Travels to Binghamton on Sunday

ITHACA, N.Y. - The Brown women's lacrosse team (4-0) will open Ivy League play at Cornell (4-1) on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. before traveling to Binghamton (2-4) on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
Brown will look to open the season 6-0 for the first time since 2014.
Last Time Out
Brown remained unbeaten and moved to 4-0 for the first time since 2014 with a 20-6 win over Vermont at Stevenson-Pincince Field (Mar. 1).
Greta Criqui scored a career-high seven goals while Annie Burton had eight assists. Burton's eight assists was the most since Eileen Goldgeier '85 had nine assists against Holy Cross during the 1985 season.
Carly Camphausen found the back of the net four times for the Bears while Beth Anderson chipped in with three goals, two assists, and 13 draw controls.
Brown By The Numbers
Brown leads the nation in nine statistical categories, the Bears have the top scoring offense in the nation at 20.0 goals per game and scoring defense in the nation at 4.25 goals allowed per game.
Brown's 10.0 assists per game, 30.0 points per game, and 15.75 scoring margin also leads the nation.
The Bears' .710 draw control percentage and 19.0 draw controls per game tops the national rankings while Claire Mahoney's 4.0 goals allowed per game and .618 save percentage ranks first in the nation.
Scouting Cornell (4-1)
Through the first five games of the season, the Big Red rank third in the nation with 9.2 assists per game and sixth in the nation with 24.6 points per game.
Cornell had a record breaking performance in its 24-7 win over Niagara (Feb. 25), they set single game school records in goals (24), assists (17), and points (41).
In its last contest, Cornell picked up a 14-8 road triumph at Penn State (Mar. 1), senior Kylie Gelabert was named Ivy League Offensive Player of the week after she posted eight goals and five assists in two wins last week.
Scouting Binghamton (2-4)
Binghamton will look to bounce back after suffering a 16-13 loss to Campbell (Mar. 5), Emma Bllioshmi leads the Bearcats with 25 goals. The junior has scored at least three goals in all six games for Binghamton.
What's Next
Brown will return to action when they welcome the defending National Champions and top-ranked Boston College on Tuesday, Mar. 18. The opening draw control is set for 5:00 p.m. at Stevenson-Pincince Field.
