SCOUTING BROWN (4-16, 1-5 Ivy)
- Brown is coming off a tough series at Cornell that saw them win the opener 5-4, drop the middle game 9-6, then fall 13-10 in seven innings in the finale after taking a 20-13 lead in the eighth inning, only to have the score revert back after weather forced the ending of the game while the Bears were still batting in the inning.
- Freshman third baseman Christina Butera hit .389 last week (7-for-18) and has moved into fourth in the Ivy League with a .358 batting average.
- Junior outfielder Mika Petersen is right behind him in fifth in the league with a .355 average.
- Junior DJ Dillehay is the third member of the team hitting over .300 with a .316 average and a team-leading 14 RBIs.
- Butera will carry an eight-game hitting streak and a 13-game on-base streak into Tuesday.
- The Bulldogs dropped two out of three over the weekend on the road at UMass Lowell, winning Saturday's finale 9-2.
- Drew Wyers went 6-for-9 over the weekend for Bryant to improve his season average to .372 with seven extra base hits. He also holds a team-high .483 on-base percentage.
- Brandyn Durand (.330) and Gavin Noriega (.290) are both among the team's most productive hitters, tying for the team lead with 26 RBIs.
- Durand leads the team with six homers.
