Dubie Named to Baseball America National Team of the Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Coming off a sensational performance on the mound this past Saturday against Princeton, Brown senior pitcher Peter Dubie has been named to the Baseball America National Team of the Week, the organization announced on Tuesday.
The team recognizes the top one player at every position, including the top-performing two-way player, and four pitchers from across the country this past week. Of the 14 players on this week's team, Dubie is one of five to hail from a non-power conference.
Dubie delivered the best start of his collegiate career in Saturday's 4-0 win over Princeton, allowing zero runs and zero walks over 7.0 shutout innings. He struck out 15 batters, which is the most by any pitcher in the country this past week. It was also the most by a Brown pitcher in a single game since 2008 and the most ever at Attanasio Family Field at Murray Stadium (opened in 2017).
His performance helped Brown sweep the Tigers and start 5-1 in Ivy League play for the first time since 2009.
Dubie and the Bears will return to action this afternoon against Bryant before traveling to Harvard for a three-game series this weekend.
