Women's Basketball Prepares for Columbia on Saturday

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Brown women's basketball team will host the Columbia Lions on Saturday at the Pizzitola Sports Center for their Alumnae Day, and Black History Month Game. Saturday's contest also marks the second to last home game for the Bears. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

Scouting the Bears (10-10, 4-3 Ivy)
- The Bears are coming off of a back-to-back weekend against Penn and Princeton. Brown earned a 65-57 win over the Quakers, and suffered a 47-60 loss to the Tigers after a tight contest.
- Junior forward Alyssa Moreland set a new career high against Penn, after previously setting one against Dartmouth on Jan. 25. Moreland netted 25 points, hitting 10 from the field, and grabbed 18 rebounds against the Quakers. Moreland and junior guard Grace Arnolie led the Bears in scoring with 25 points a piece.
- Arnolie became the 25th player in program history to join the 1,000 point club after netting a pair of free throws against Princeton. Arnolie is the second player to hit the 1,000 point milestone this season after senior guard Isabella Mauricio achieved the milestone against Cornell on Jan. 20.
- Arnolie ranks sixth in scoring in the Ivy League, averaging 15.6 points per game.
- Junior forward Beth Nelson posted a season-high eight points, three field goals, and two triples against Princeton.
- First-year forward Aima Ofunrein ranks second in the conference in field goal percentage with .580.Â
- The Lions spent their back-to-back weekend at Harvard, and Dartmouth. Columbia swept the weekend and continued to roll through conference play, posting a 80-71 win over the Crimson, and a 71-48 win over the Big Green.Â
- Riley Weiss led the Lions in scoring for the weekend netting 26 points against Harvard, and 25 against Dartmouth. Weiss ranks second in the conference in scoring, averaging 18.0 points per game. Weiss earned National Player of the Week as well as being named to the 2025 Women's College All-Star Game Watch List.
- Columbia has the best offense in the Ivy League, averaging 73.8 points per game. Columbia's defense sits in the middle of the conference at fourth, allowing 61.1 points per game.Â
- Kitty Henderson leads the conference in assists, averaging 5.2 per game.
- The Bears hold a 50-30 record over the Lions that dates back to the 1975-76 season.
- Brown's last win over Columbia came during the 2017-18 season, with a final score of 84-80.
- The Bears look to snap their losing streak against the Lions.
