
Women’s Basketball Drops Contest at George Washington 48-53

Senior guard Grace Arnolie led the way for the Bears netting 16 points. She shot six-for-nine (66.7%) from the field, and four-for-five (80%) beyond the arc.
First-year guard Charlotte Adams-Lopez shot 50% from the field, and assisted on two baskets.
The Bears opened up the contest on an 11-0 run, with four different Bears contributing to the score. The run came to an end with a minute and a half remaining in the first quarter when GW's Gabby Reynolds made a jump shot. The Revolutionaries closed out the quarter with two made free-throws. For the sixth time this season, Brown held its opponents to less than 10 points in a quarter, keeping the Revs at four points in the first 10.
Ahead of the second quarter media timeout, Arnolie rattled off three triples to pull the Bears further from GW. Brown continued to outscore the Revs 18-15 before the break, holding a 29-19 advantage at halftime.
The Revolutionaries began closing in on the Bears, holding them to just nine points in the third quarter. GW tallied 13 for the quarter, but the Bears still held a six-point edge over them.
With just below two minutes left in regulation, the score was tied up at 46. George Washington began to pull away, scoring five-straight times on free-throws. Adams-Lopez made a layup to cut GW's lead to three points. The Revolutionaries made two more free-throws securing its win over Brown.

The Bears will travel to North Andover, Mass. to take on Merrimack on Tuesday, Dec. 9. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. inside of Lawler Arena.
