Women’s Basketball Welcomes No. 20 Princeton on Saturday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown women's basketball team will host the No. 20 Princeton Tigers on Saturday afternoon. Tip-off is scheduled for 12 p.m. inside of the Pizzitola Sports Center.
The contest will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

Scouting the Bears (11-5, 3-1 Ivy)
- The Bears will return home to host No. 20 Princeton on Saturday. Their return home follows a two-game road trip to New York to face Cornell (W, 64-48) and Columbia (L, 52-68) over the MLK long weekend.
- Brown keeps a clean sheet at the Pizzitola Sports Center so far this season with a 5-0 record at home.
- Senior guard Grace Arnolie enters Saturday's contest ninth in career scoring in program history with a total of 1334 points. She currently leads the Ivy League in scoring, averaging 18.6 points per game. Arnolie also ranks first in three-point percentage (.388) and field goals per game, with an average of 2.5.
- Arnolie hit a career-high seven three-pointers on Jan. 17 at Cornell. Her seven triples place her tied for third in three-point field goals in an individual game in program history.
- Alyssa Moreland makes the top-10 in conference scoring in eighth, with an average of 13.6 points per game.
- Moreland continues to lead the conference in rebounds per game (10.6/g). She also holds second in field goal percentage (.534), and steals averaging 2.6 per game.
- Brown's 3-0 start in Ivy play was the program's best since the Bears started 3-0 in the 2004-05 season.
- The Bears boast the best defense in the conference holding their opponents to an average of 56.2 points per game. Brown is currently leading the Ivy League in combined team rebounds with an average of 42.2 per game.
- In their last time out, the Tigers defeated Harvard 82-79 in overtime. Ashley Chea hit a last second three-pointer sending the game into overtime, where Princeton ultimately came out on top.
- Princeton is ranked 20th in both the Associated Press and WBCA Coaches' Poll. This is the highest ranking that the Tigers have achieved in the AP poll since the 2014-15 season.
- The Tigers' lone loss came back on Nov. 16, when Princeton lost 68-84 to then-ranked No. 9 Maryland. Since then, they have gone on a winning streak spanning 14 games.
- Madison St. Rose currently leads the Tigers in scoring with an average of 17.1 points per game. She ranks third in the conference in scoring behind Columbia's Riley Weiss and Brown's Grace Arnolie.
- Princeton's offense ranks first in the Ivy League, averaging 75.8 points per game. They also lead the conference in multiple statistical categories like team field goal percentage (.443), team three-point percentage (.346), and three-point field goals made (7.4).
- Princeton added two freshmen to their roster in the offseason, and returned nine players from the previous year.
- The Tigers were selected to finish first in the Ivy League Preseason Women's Basketball Poll, receiving 17 first place votes.
- Princeton holds a 60-33 record over Brown, dating back to 1974.
- The Tigers have taken the last 10 matchups.
- Brown has a 21-25 record at home against the Tigers.
