No. 1 Princeton Defeats No. 4 Women's Soccer 3-0 in Ivy Tournament Semifinals

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Brown women's soccer team (9-4-4, 3-2-2 Ivy) fell to host and No. 1 seed Princeton (8-5-3, 4-2-0 Ivy) 3-0 on Thursday evening at Roberts Stadium in the 2025 Ivy League Women's Soccer Semifinals.
With the win, Princeton advanced to take on No. 2 Dartmouth, which defeated No. 3 Columbia.
Brown created scoring opportunities despite spending most of the second half with 10 players, and outshot the Tigers 15-14 overall.
Addison Etter, in her third consecutive start, made three saves.
After trading opportunities early in the first half, the Tigers struck as Kayla Wong scored goals at 26:14 and 36:08 to lead 2-0 at halftime.
The second half started with a physical Brown team attempting two corner kicks early in the period, but Princeton was able to hold its lead. Shot attempts kept coming for the Bears, with Layla Shell, Naya Cardoza, and Ella Weil all taking shots on goal.
The Bears finish 2025 with nine wins, marking the seventh time Brown has achieved nine or more victories under the leadership of Messing Family Head Coach Kia McNeill for the Brown Varsity Women's Soccer team.
