- After the Quakers forced a Brown turnover in Penn territory on 4th-and-long, Penn went 58 yards on 11 plays to score on a one-yard run for the 7-0 lead at 6:45.
- Brown answered immediately with a quick 75-yard drive as Murphy hit Pezza who found open space and raced to a 44-yard touchdown to tie the score at 4:26.
- Penn scored touchdowns on each of its first three possessions, taking the lead back at 14:10 of the second quarter on a nine-yard pass, then added on with a one-yard touchdown run at the 7:20 mark for a 21-7 lead they carried into halftime.
- Penn outgained Brown 282-201 in the first half, while Penn converted on seven of their eight third downs.
- Brown reached into its bag of tricks to pull within seven, as Rahman took a pitch and rolled right and passed to Hill in the end zone for the four-yard touchdown pass at the 7:12 mark.
- The Quakers used a 54-yard kick return and a 40-yard pass to set up a short touchdown run that pushed the lead back to two scores, 28-14 with 4:56 left in the third quarter.
- Brown drove 74 yards before attempting a 28-yard field goal in the opening moments of the fourth quarter, but the attempt sailed wide left.
- Foley helped propel the Bears within seven once again, scoring on a 14-yard pass with 4:19 remaining to cut it to 28-21. He previously highlighted the drive with a tremendous leaping one-handed catch for a 19-yard gain on 3rd-and-19 from their own 25-yard line.
- Unfortunately for the Bears, the Quakers' offense was able to run out the rest of the clock to keep Brown's offense off the field and hold on for the seven-point win.
