Archie and Pezza to Attend NFL Rookie Mini Camps

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – A pair of Brown football alums will attend NFL rookie mini camps. Defensive back Alias Archie '26 has been invited to attend mini camp with the Los Angeles Chargers and wide receiver Ty Pezza '26 will attend rookie mini camp with the Baltimore Ravens.
A Rhode Island native, Pezza was a Second Team All-Ivy League selection and Second Team Phil Steele All-Ivy honoree as a senior in 2025. He led the Bears with 46 catches for 599 yards and seven touchdowns and ranked fifth in the Ivy League with 59.9 receiving yards per game. For his work in the classroom, he was an Academic All-Ivy selection, a CSC Academic All-District honoree, and an FCS ADA Academic All-Star.
Archie was also a Second Team All-Ivy League selection and Second Team Phil Steele All-Ivy honoree. He led the Ivy League with 16 passes defended and 14 pass breakups and his 1.60 passes defended per game ranked second in all of FCS Football. He finished the season with 33.0 tackles, two interceptions, and two forced fumbles. He was named the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week, was named to the Honor Roll for the Stats Perform FCS National Defensive Player of the Week, and was selected as the NEFW Gold Helmet winner after a standout performance in Brown's win over Rhode Island where had an interception, forced a fumble, and added a fumble recovery. He later added four pass breakups against Dartmouth in Brown's season finale victory on November 21.
The duo is among a group of eight players in the James Perry era to attend NFL rookie mini camps since 2020. Others include Michael Hoecht, who is a current member of the Buffalo Bills and has won a Super Bowl with the LA Rams, along with EJ Perry, Allen Smith, Mark Mahoney, Jake Willcox and Graham Walker.
