Women's Soccer Heads to Cornell for Conference Clash on Saturday

ITHACA, N.Y. – Brown women's soccer concludes its road trip with a 1 p.m. conference match against Cornell at Berman Field on Saturday, Oct. 25.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

Scouting the Bears (8-2-4, 2-1-2 Ivy)
- The Bears are coming off back-to-back ties against Harvard (2-2) and Dartmouth (0-0).
- At Harvard, senior Naya Cardoza netted her league-leading (tied) seventh goal of the season.
- Junior Joy Okonye is tied for the most assists in the Ivy (five), and her three game-winning goals lead the league. Having a career year, her 17 points are the second-most in the Ivy, and her 15 career assists place her in a three-way tie for eighth in program history - Lindsay Cunningham '08 and Michaela Sewall '03.
- Sophomore Ayla Sahin ranks second in the Ivy League in shots (2.57/g) and shots on goal (1.21/g).
- This season, the Bears rank first in the Ivy League in shots, points, corners, and goals.
Scouting the Big Red (5-5-4, 2-3 Ivy)
- Cornell most recently defeated Penn, 2-1, on Saturday with a game-winning goal from midfielder Brooke Brown. The Big Red outshot the Quakers, 21-8.
- For her efforts, Brown received the Ivy League's Co-Offensive Player of the Week.
- Goalkeeper Medugno recorded four saves against Penn.
- Cornell is 2-2-2 at Berman Field, with wins against Colgate (2-1) and La Salle (1-0).
- Senior midfielder Tanum Nelson ranks third in the Ivy League in shots (2.42/g).
History
- The Bears are 33-7-4 against Cornell, and 7-0-0 versus the Big Red in the Kia McNeill era.
- Brown has won the last 13 meetings dating back to the 2011 campaign.
