Women's Basketball Prepares for Yale on Saturday

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Brown women's basketball team will host the Yale Bulldogs for Rhode Island Educator's Appreciation Day at the Pizzitola Sports Center on Saturday, Jan. 11. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

Scouting the Bears (6-8, 0-1 Ivy)
- The Bears opened conference play on Saturday, Jan. 4 when they hosted the Dartmouth Big Green. The Bears dropped their first Ivy matchup, and look to bounce back against Yale.
- Junior forward Alyssa Moreland led the Bears in scoring against the Big Green with 13 points and nine rebounds. Since her return, Moreland has averaged 5.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.2 steals per game.
- First-year forward Aima Ofunrein continues to hold third place in field goal percentage in the Ivy League with .573.
- Junior guard Grace Arnolie sits at seventh in the conference in scoring, averaging 13.9 points per game. Arnolie also ranks third in the Ivy League in assists, averaging 4.0 per game.
- The Bulldogs played their first conference game on Saturday, Jan. 4, suffering a 61-43 loss to the Harvard Crimson.
- Yale has posted only one win in 14 games this season. Their lone win came back on their season opener on Nov. 4 when they beat Monmouth 64-61.
- The Bulldogs' Mackenzie Egger leads the Ivy League in rebounds, averaging 9.6 per game. Egger also ranks second in steals with 3.7 per game.
- The Bears hold a 50-46 record against the Bulldogs, dating back to the 1973-74 season.
- Brown won both of their games against Yale last season: 76-71 away on Jan. 13, and 76-57 at home on Mar. 9.
- The Bears look to extend their current two game win-streak over the Bulldogs.
