
Women’s Basketball Travels to Princeton on Saturday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown women's basketball team will travel to Princeton, N.J. to take on the Princeton Tigers on Saturday evening. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at Jadwin Gymnasium.
The contest will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
Scouting the Bears (15-7, 7-3 Ivy)
- The Bears improved to an 8-1 record inside the Pizzitola Sports Center after completing a weekend sweep against Dartmouth (58-51) and Harvard (68-62) last weekend. Brown last reached eight home wins during the 2016-17 season.
- In their last outing, Brown secured a signature 68-62 win over Harvard. The win marked the Bears' first victory over the Crimson since 2015, and their first home win in the series since 2012.
- Alyssa Moreland grabbed 19 rebounds against Dartmouth on Friday night, setting a new career-high.
- Brown is 3-0 since restarting the Ivy League cycle, earning wins against Yale, Dartmouth, and Harvard.
- Brown's seventh Ivy League win on Saturday matches LeBlanc's program-best mark, and is just one game shy of tying her most overall wins with Brown at 16.
- Brown is ranked top-50 nationally in 10 different statistical categories. The Bears make the top-10 cut in two categories: 10th in three point percentage defense(26.0), and eighth in field goal percentage defense (34.7).
- Charlotte Adams-Lopez earned her third Ivy League Rookie of the Week nod on Feb. 16. She is the first Bear to earn three Ivy League Rookie of the Week honors since Grace Arnolie during the 2022-23 season.
Scouting the Tigers (20-3, 8-2 Ivy)
- The Tigers went 1-1 in their two-straight games at Columbia and Cornell last weekend. Princeton fell to Columbia 70-56 on Friday night, and earned a 59-38 win at Cornell on Saturday.
- After being nationally ranked for most of the season, Princeton has fallen out of the rankings following their loss to the Lions.
- Princeton leads the Ivy League in offense, posting an average of 72.6 points per game. They also boast the best team field goal (.443) and three point percentage (.341).
- The Tigers have five players averaging double-figures in scoring per game: Madison St. Rose (15.9), Skye Belker (13.3), Fadima Tall (12.6), Olivia Hutcherson (12.2), and Ashley Chea (10.3). St. Rose, Belker, and Tall all rank within the top-10 scorers in the Ivy League.
- Hutcherson leads the conference in field goal percentage at .552.
History
- The Tigers hold a 33-61 edge over the Bears in a series that dates back to 1974.
- Princeton has won the last 16 games straight, with Brown's last win coming in January of 2017.
