Men's Lacrosse Hosts Dartmouth Saturday on Senior Day

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown Bears (2-9, 1-3 Ivy League) host the Dartmouth Big Green (3-8, 0-4 Ivy League) in a crucial conference matchup Saturday at Stevenson-Pincince Field. Tomorrow's game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. and will stream on ESPN+. Saturday's game also marks the program's Senior Day, presented by the Brown School of Professional Studies.

SCOUTING THE BEARS
- The Bears are coming off a critical home win over the 13th-ranked Princeton Tigers to jump back into the thick of the Ivy League Tournament race.
- Three Bears – Spencer Hughes, Ben Locke, and Aidan McLane – recorded hat tricks against the Tigers. McLane leads the Bears with 25 goals and 28 points through 11 games. Locke ranks second on the team with 19 points and Hughes is tied with Matteo Corsi for third on the team with 14 points.
- Brown's man-up offense has 10 goals in 32 attempts (.313) to rank 48th nationally.
- Defensively, Brown allows 12.55 goals per game and Connor Theriault has started all 11 games. He holds a 12.98 goals against average and .494 save percentage. He was stellar against Princeton, finishing the afternoon with 14 saves.
- Brown's man-down defense leads the Ivy League at .708 (34-for-48).
- Dash Sachs holds a .474 win-rate at the faceoff X along with 63 ground balls. His 5.73 ground balls per game rank 31st nationally.
- Dartmouth enters Saturday with a 3-8 overall record and 0-4 Ivy League mark. The Big Green hold wins over Holy Cross, Siena, and Vermont.
- The Dartmouth offense averages 10.00 goals per game to rank sixth in the conference and 59th nationally. Colin McGill leads Dartmouth with 24 goals and 30 points through 11 games.
- In addition to McGill, seven other players have double digit points this season.
- Dartmouth's man-up offense has 10 goals in 23 attempts (.435) to rank third in the conference and 16th nationally.
- Dartmouth's defense allows 13.64 goals per game to rank sixth in the Ivy and 63rd nationally. Mason Morel and Ryan Williamson have split time between the pipes this season.
- Dartmouth's man-down defense sits at .613 (19-for-31) to rank fifth in the Ivy League.
- Mitchell Myers ranks 20th in the NCAA with a .563 win-rate at the faceoff X (129-for-229). His 6.64 ground balls per game rank third in the Ivy and tied for 18th nationally.
- Saturday marks the 66th meeting between the Bears and Big Green in a series dating back to 1926.
- Brown holds a commanding 45-19 series edge along with a 27-8 record on College Hill.
- Brown looks to win its 15th straight over Dartmouth dating back to 2008.
- With a critical win over Princeton last weekend, the Brown Bears jumped back into the thick of the Ivy League Tournament race.
- Brown's easiest path to the postseason requires wins over Dartmouth and Harvard along with a Princeton loss to either Penn or Yale.
- Penn and Yale have secured postseason berths and Cornell clinches a spot with one win over Harvard and Dartmouth.
- The Bears jumped to a 6-0 lead and held off the 13th-ranked Tigers to pick up a 13-12 home win last weekend.
- Connor Theriault was stellar with 14 saves and Charlie Cave wreaked havoc with six ground balls and four caused turnovers.
- Spencer Hughes led the offense with four goals and five points while Aidan McLane and Ben Locke added hat tricks.
- Theriault has started all 11 games this season and holds a 12.98 goals against average and .494 save percentage.
- Last weekend, Theriault recorded 14 saves, including a critical stop in the final seconds, to give the Bears a 13-12 victory over Princeton. Two weekends ago, Theriault recorded 17 saves against the Big Red (4/6).
- Theriault was stellar against UMass with 16 saves and a game-sealing GB and earlier this season, he recorded a season-high 18 saves against Providence (Feb. 24).
- The Mount Herman, Massachusetts native has double-digit saves in each of his last five games and in seven games this season.
- Over the last five games, Theriault has 69 saves and a .531 save percentage.
