Men’s Lacrosse Continues Non-Conference Play Against UMass Lowell on Tuesday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown men's lacrosse team (3-3, 0-1) will welcome UMass Lowell (2-4, 0-1) on Tuesday, Mar. 17, the opening face-off is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Stevenson-Pincince Field.
Tuesday's game will be the first game of a Brown lacrosse doubleheader with the Brown women's lacrosse team set to take on Bryant in an Ocean State Cup clash at 7:30 p.m. Fans can purchase tickets here.
Scouting Brown
The Bears will look to snap a two-game losing streak since opening the season 3-1. In its last outing, Brown fell 18-9 at then-No. 11 Cornell to open Ivy League play (Mar. 14). Jameson Steele and Jeremy Hopsicker each recorded hat tricks against the Big Red, with Steele recording a career-high four points.
Hopsicker ranks fourth in the Ivy League in goals per game (2.6) and fifth in shots per game (7.0). Connor Foley sits second in the Ivy League in saves per game (12.8) and third in total saves (77). The junior also ranks third in save percentage (.542).
Scouting UMass Lowell
The River Hawks will enter their matchup with the Bears looking to snap a three-game losing streak. In its last outing, UMass Lowell fell 16-9 at Binghamton (Mar. 14) in its America East opener.
Alex Lafreniere leads the River Hawks in goals (14) and points (18), he ranks fifth in the America East in goals per game (2.3) and points per game (3.0). UMass Lowell has had four different goalies start games this season, highlighted by AJ True, who has started three out of six.

Tuesday will be the first-ever matchup between the Bears and the River Hawks.
