Men's Lacrosse Takes Down Dartmouth for Senior Day Win

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown Bears (3-9, 2-3 Ivy League) tallied six straight goals in the third and fourth quarters to take a 14-11 victory over the Dartmouth Big Green (3-9, 0-5 Ivy League) for the program's 15th consecutive win over Dartmouth.
Following the game, Brown recognized its 12-member Class of 2024 for their contributions to the program and Brown Athletics.
"Happy to get a team win on Senior Day," said head coach Mike Daly. "There's definitely a lot to still improve on and we will keep working and improving."
After an early Dartmouth goal from Brandon Ventarola, the Bears responded with goals from Tanner Burns and Ben Scandone to take a 2-1 lead with 10:07 remaining in the first quarter.
Emmett Paradine, Quinn Moore, and Nate Davis tallied consecutive goals in 39 seconds to take a 4-2 lead with 5:57 remaining in the frame. Scandone ended the Big Green run with his second goal of the afternoon to make it a one-goal game heading to the second quarter.
Ben Locke evened the score with 8:50 remaining in the second quarter with his first goal of the afternoon. Spencer Hughes gave the Bears a 5-4 lead 20 seconds later with Bruno's second man-up goal of the day.
Davis finished a feed from Elliott Fee to end the Brown run and tie the game at 5-5 with 7:32 remaining in the half. Less than a minute later, Fee finished a feed from Davis to give Dartmouth a 6-5 lead.
Trey Taylor finished a feed from PJ Behan for his second pole goal of the season to even the score with 6:33 remaining.
Davis found Colin McGill at the net-front with 5:23 remaining to put the Big Green back up by one at 7-6. Davis capped the hat trick with 2:33 remaining off a feed from Ventarola just before the shot clock expired to push the lead to two at 8-6.
Mason Morel (15 saves) and Connor Theriault (15 saves) traded saves late in the half to keep the score level.
Aidan McLane cut the Dartmouth lead to one with 10:32 remaining in the third, finishing off a feed from Locke for his 26th goal of the season. McGill responded for the Big Green just over a minute later to make it 9-7.
Jackson Wolfram added his name to the scoresheet with 8:12 remaining to bring the Bears back within a goal. About three minutes later, Dartmouth's Henry Bonnie made it 10-8 Big Green with his first goal of the game.
Hughes beat Morel with a bounce shot from distance to once again bring the Bears within a goal with 3:46 left in the third quarter. McLane buried his second of the quarter to level the score at 10-10 heading into the fourth quarter.
Wolfram, Forrest Demetri, and Charlie Cave all scored in a two-minute span to turn a tie game into a 13-10 Brown lead with 10:07 remaining in the fourth. Locke made it a four-goal lead with Brown's sixth straight goal for his second of the afternoon with 8:37 remaining.
McGill ended the Brown run six seconds later to bring the Big Green back within three, but the Bears held off the Big Green for the remainder to take a 14-11 victory.
