Men's Hockey Heads to #12 Cornell, Colgate for Weekend Series

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown Bears (8-13-2, 6-9-1 ECAC) hit the road to take on the 12th-ranked Cornell Big Red (15-4-4, 10-4-2 ECAC) on Friday before closing the weekend against the Colgate Raiders (11-13-4, 8-6-2 ECAC) on Saturday.
Both games are set to begin at 7 p.m. and will stream on ESPN+ in the United States and on Stretch Internet internationally.

SCOUTING THE BEARS
- Brown enters the weekend with an 8-13-2 overall record and 6-9-1 conference mark. The Bears are tied for eighth in the ECAC standings with 20 points alongside Dartmouth.
- Offensively, Brown averages 2.3 goals per game and is led by Ryan St. Louis, a Hobey Baker Memorial Award nominee. St. Louis has 10 goals and 21 points this season.
- Sophomore Ryan Bottrill leads the team with 14 assists.
- Brown's power play has 13 goals in 80 attempts (16.3%) to rank tenth in the ECAC.
- Defensively, Brown allows 3.0 goals per game to rank fourth in the conference and 30th in the NCAA.
- Freshman Lawton Zacher holds a 2.53 goals against average and .916 save percentage in 19 starts.
- Brown's penalty kill ranks fifth in the conference and 29th in the NCAA at 81.9% (59-72).
- Cornell enters Friday with a 15-4-4 overall record and 10-4-2 conference mark. The Big Red rank 12th in the NCAA per the USCHO.com poll.
- Cornell has won four straight and is unbeaten since early December with a 9-0-3 record in the last 12 games.
- Offensively, Cornell ranks second in the ECAC and 10th in the NCAA with 3.5 goals per game.
- Gabriel Seger leads the team offensively with 11 goals and 18 assists for 29 points. Kyle Penney (6-14-20) and Dalton Bancroft (8-11-20) rank second on the team in points.
- Ten Cornell skaters have recorded double-digit points this season.
- Cornell's power play clicks at 17.8% (16-90) to rank seventh in the conference.
- Defensively, Cornell leads the nation with 1.9 goals against per game. Cornell has allowed just 18 goals in the last 12 games.
- Goaltender Ian Shane holds a 1.62 goals against average and .922 save percentage in 22 starts. His goals against average leads the country and his save percentage ranks ninth.
- Cornell's penalty kill ranks seventh in the ECAC at 80% (64-80).
- Friday marks the 139th meeting between Brown and Cornell in a series dating back to 1959.
- Brown holds a 44-86-8 all-time series record along with a 15-46-4 road record.
- Colgate enters the weekend with an 11-13-4 overall record and 8-6-2 conference mark. Colgate is third in the ECAC standings with 28 points.
- Offensively, Colgate ranks fourth in the conference and 17th nationally with 3.2 goals per game.
- Ryan McGuire leads the team with 13 goals and is tied for the team lead with 24 points. Ross Mitton (9-15-24) is tied for the point lead and ranks third in assists.
- Simon Labelle and Tommy Bergsland lead the Raiders with 16 assists.
- Colgate's power play ranks second in the ECAC and 11th in the NCAA at 24.7% (21-85). The Raiders have four PPGs in the last four games.
- Defensively, Colgate allows 3.2 goals per game to rank eighth in the conference.
- Goaltender Carter Gylander holds a .903 save percentage and 3.01 goals against average in 25 starts.
- Colgate's PK clicks at 74.7% (74-99) to rank ninth in the conference.
- Saturday's game against the Raiders marks the 101st in a series dating back to 1935.
- Brown holds a 28-62-10 all-time series record along with an 8-38-3 road record. Brown is 3-4-3 against the Raiders in the last 10 meetings.
