Men's Hockey Takes on Stonehill in Final Non-Conference Game

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown Bears (4-15-0, 3-9-0 ECAC) head to Boston to take on the Stonehill Skyhawks (4-16-2, Independent) in the final non-conference game of the season on Saturday.

Saturday's game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at Warrior Ice Arena and will stream on NEC Front Row.

SCOUTING THE BEARS

The Bears enter the weekend with a 4-15-0 overall record and look to snap a two-game losing streak.
Brown's offense averages 2.2 goals per game with sophomore Ivan Zadvernyuk leading the team with 10 assists and 13 points. Ryan St. Louis and Ben Poitras lead the squad with six goals apiece.
Brown's power play clicks at 5.9% (3-51) with Poitras, Zadvernyuk, and Michael Salandra tallying the man-up goals.
Defensively, Brown allows 3.6 goals per game to rank 53rd nationally.
Tyler Shea holds a 2.97 goals against average along with a .919 save percentage in 12 starts.
Brown's penalty kill enters Saturday at 71.2% (47-66).

SCOUTING THE SKYHAWKS

Stonehill enters Saturday with a 4-16-2 overall record. The Skyhawks picked up wins over St. Lawrence (Jan. 2) and Sacred Heart (Oct. 18) along with two victories over Alaska Anchorage (Dec. 5 & 6).
Stonehill's offense averages 2.2 goals per game to rank 53rd nationally.
Matthew Romer leads the Skyhawks with eight goals and is third on the team with 10 points. Evan Orr leads Stonehill with 10 assists and is second with 12 points. Justin Mexico leads the squad with 13 points.
Stonehill's power play has eight goals in 68 attempts (11.8%) to rank 58th in the NCAA.
Defensively, Stonehill allows 3.7 goals per game to rank 56th nationally.
Between the pipes, Connor Androlewicz holds a 3.49 goals against average and .889 save percentage in 21 starts.
The penalty kill ranks 53rd nationally at 75.7% (56-74).
Stonehill's 33.0 shots per game is 12th-most in the NCAA.

INSIDE THE SERIES

Saturday is the fourth meeting between Brown and Stonehill in a series dating back to the 2023-24 season.
Brown is a perfect 3-0 in the series and has outscored the Skyhawks 16-5 in the wins.

Ryan St. Louis is one of 88 nominees for the 2026 Hobey Baker Memorial Award, given annually to the nation's best player.
It marks the second straight season St. Louis has been nominated for college hockey's top individual award.

Tyler Shea recorded 39 saves to pick up the victory in Brown's 4-1 win over St. Lawrence (Jan. 10).
Most recently, he recorded 37 saves at Union and 35 saves at RPI.
This season, Shea has eight games with at least 30 saves and four games with 39 or more saves.
He holds a .919 save percentage and 2.97 goals against average in 12 starts this season.
His save percentage ranks fourth in the ECAC and 21st nationally.
