Women’s Soccer Hosts Columbia on Saturday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown women's soccer team will host Columbia at Stevenson-Pincince Field on Saturday, Oct 19, kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ and NESN+.
Brown's game against Columbia will also be Alumni Day and the Bears' Breast Cancer Awareness Game.
Fans are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets online at Brownbears.com/tickets prior to their arrival at Stevenson-Pincince Field. Fans should either download their digital tickets to display on a mobile device or print them at home prior to arrival. There is a no re-entry policy in place for all ticketed athletic events at Brown University, once you have scanned your ticket to enter, you must remain inside the venue.
Last Time Out
In its last contest, Brown played to a scoreless draw at Penn (Oct.13), the Bears haven't allowed a goal over their last two games. Bella Schopp made two saves in her second consecutive shutout.
Scouting The Bears (5-3-4, 2-1-1)
Brown welcomes Columbia seeking its third win in Ivy League play this season and sixth win of the 2024 campaign.
Chesney Robinson and Kyra Treanor were named to TopDrawerSoccer's Midseason Top 100 Freshmen list, Robinson came in at No. 67 and Treanor came in at No. 79.
Three freshmen sit atop the Bears' offensive leader board as Ella Weil leads the team with four goals and 11 points. Behind Weil is Nadja Meite, who has three goals and Ayla Sahin sits behind Meite with two goals. Meite and Sahin each have six points, which ranks second on the Bears.
Bella Schopp's four shutouts sits tied for second in the Ivy League, Schopp hasn't allowed a goal over the last two games.
Scouting The Lions (6-3-3, 4-0)
Columbia enters Stevenson-Pincince Field riding a five-game win streak and a perfect 4-0 Ivy League mark. In their last contest, the Lions earned a 1-0 win over Dartmouth on a converted penalty kick in the 87th minute.
Columbia can earn a share of the Ivy League regular season title with a win, a Princeton loss, and a Cornell win or tie.
History
Brown is 17-13-6 all-time against Columbia, the Lions took down the top-seeded Bears in the 2023 Ivy League Tournament Semifinal. Brown has earned four consecutive wins in regular season play against Columbia dating back to 2019.
