Women's basketball travels to Columbia for matchup on Saturday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown women's basketball will hit the road for a tough test at Columbia on Saturday (Jan. 21). The game against the Lions will tip-off at 2 p.m. and be streamed on ESPN+.

ABOUT BROWN
- Brown enters the game with an 8-9 record and a 1-4 mark in Ivy League play. The Bears have dropped two-straight games since winning at Dartmouth.
- Brown's defense comes into the game leading the Ivy League in blocks per game (4.4) and steals per game (11.2) The Bears are also holding teams to 39.2 percent shooting, third-best in the Ivy League.
- Kyla Jones continues to lead the Bears with 17.1 points per game, good for third in the league, but Jones has missed the last two games for Brown.
- Brown also missed Charlotte Jewell and Mackenzie Leahy in the game against Yale. Combined with Jones, the trio is averaging over 28 points per game for the Bears and have a combined 75 assists.
- Isabella Mauricio returned to form, hitting four threes against Yale and is now fourth in the Ivy League with 2.4 made threes per game.
- Grace Arnolie scored in double-figures for the Bears against Yale and now has 10 games with at least 10 points on the season. Arnolie is the second-leading scorer for Brown with 10.4 points per game in her first season as a Bear.
- Columbia is 15-3 on the season and 4-1 in Ivy League play entering the weekend.
- The Lions boast one of the country's best offenses, scoring 81.3 points per game (13th in the NCAA).
- Abby Hsu leads the team in scoring and is second in the Ivy League with 17.3 points per game.
- The Lions do most of their damage from deep, hitting 9.9 threes per game and shooting 37.2 percent from beyond the arc, both league-highs.
- Brown leads the series with Columbia 42-26 but it has been a one-sided affair as of late with Columbia riding a seven-game win streak.
