
Leyman Named Ivy Baseball Rookie of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – After a strong career debut on Friday, freshman Bobby Leyman (North Hampton, N.H.) of the Brown baseball team was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week, announced Tuesday afternoon.
The freshman right-hander enjoyed an impressive collegiate debut against Marshall on Friday. With the game tied heading into extra innings, Leyman came out of the bullpen and tossed six hitless and scoreless innings in his first career appearance. His strong outing gave the Bears a chance, but they ultimately dropped the marathon contest in the 17th frame. He also added a pair of strikeouts in the contest.

Brown returns to action on Friday when the Bears visit UCF at 6 p.m. Brown will play two games at UCF over the weekend and a single neutral site game against Bradley on Saturday.
