WEST YARMOUTH, Mass. – Brown junior Ryan Oshinskie has been recognized for his strong summer in the Cape Cod League as the right-handed pitcher was named to the First Team All-CCBL team.
Pitching mostly out of the bullpen for the Orleans Firebirds, Oshinskie posted a 1.93 ERA over 13 appearances, including two starts. In 28.0 innings, he struck out 38 batters while allowing just six earned runs on 20 hits and seven walks. He also posted a 0.96 WHIP while limiting opponents to a .194 batting average.
Oshinskie helped pilot the Firebirds to their first division title since 2017, with their season coming to an end in the first round of the Cape League playoffs.
A Fairfield, Connecticut native, Oshinskie made his presence felt on the Brown pitching staff right away this spring after returning from injury in April, striking our 27 batters in 16.1 innings over eight relief appearances, including a strong seven-strikeout performance over 4.0 innings against Princeton on April 19.
