2014-15: Played in 28 games … Finished second on the team with 19 points, 10 goals, and nine assists … Earned ECAC Player of the Week honors on Nov. 11 … Led the team in power play goals (four), power play points (10), and faceoff win percentage (.515) … Paced the team with eight assists in league games …Scored two goals each in back-to-back games vs. Maine (Nov. 7-8) … Posted a season-high three points on a goal and two assists at Dartmouth (Feb. 6) … Notched multiple points in each of five games … Totaled 47 shots and 16 blocked shots on the season … Served team as assistant captain … Earned ECAC All-Academic Team honors.
2013-14: Played in all 29 games ... Finished third on the team in both points and scoring, totaling 11 points on five goals and six assists … Scored two goals, including the game-winner, in the Bears’ 4-2 victory over St. Lawrence (Jan. 17) … Registered two assists in Brown’s 3-3 tie with Maine (Dec. 7).
2012-13: Appeared in all 27 games of the season … Recorded two assists, 25 shots on goal, and 15 blocks … Received the team award for Most Improved … ECAC All-Academic Team selection for the second consecutive year.
2011-12: One of eight players to appear in all 31 games … Scored one goal and tallied one assist in her rookie season … ECAC All-Academic Team selection.
Before Brown: Three-sport star, also playing soccer for the Ajax United Magic and basketball at BPCI for two years ... Part of the Birchmount Exceptional Athlete Program (BEAP) ... In 2009 she was the only female in Canada to win the provincial championship and national silver medal in both hockey and soccer ... Played for the Scarborough Sharks Midget AA before joining the Etobicoke Dolphins Intermediate AA ... Assistant captain her final season with Etobicoke while leading the team during regular-season games in points (34), goals (18), assists (16), game-winning goals (five), shorthanded goals (three) and face-off percentage (69%).
Personal: Kaitlyn Keon is the daughter of David and Linda Keon of Toronto, Ontario ... has one brother David ... Her grandfather is Hall of Famer Dave Keon, who played professionally in the NHL from 1960-82, including 15 seasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs ...
