Softball on the Road at Princeton for Weekend Play

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown softball continues Ivy League play this weekend, making the trip to New Jersey for a three-game series at Princeton (April 3-4).
Due to weather, the series was shifter to a single game on Friday (April 3) beginning at 4 p.m. The series will conclude on Saturday (April 4) with a doubleheader starting at 12:30 p.m. All three games will be streamed on ESPN+.

ABOUT THE BEARS
- For the second time this season Macy Borowski was named Ivy League Pitcher of the Week. Borowski won three games last week and posted a 1.75 ERA in 24 innings pitched, picking up 26 strikeouts.
- The Bears sit at 3-3 in Ivy League play this season after winning two of three games at Yale last weekend. Brown is tied with three other teams for second place in the Ivy League with that mark.
- Cameron Zytkewicz Ray bumped her average up to a team-best .323 after hitting .500 in five games last week. Zytkewicz Ray has a team-high 21 hits.
- Maggie Foxx continues to show the power with a team-leading four home runs and is second with 14 RBI behind Elli Thompson, who leads the Bears with 15 RBI.
- Jasmine Hsiao has three doubles on the season and is now four doubles away from setting the program record of doubles in a career.
- In the circle, Borowski leads the Bears with a 3.27 ERA, seven wins and 84 strikeouts in 87.2 innings pitched. Borowski has given up two runs or less in each of her last four outings and six of her last seven. The junior has reached seven strikeouts in three of her last four games and six times this year.
- Princeton comes into the weekend leading the Ivy League with a perfect 6-0 record in league play and a 16-10 overall record. The Tigers dropped a 2-1 game at Lehigh on Wednesday (April 1).
- Three Princeton batters are hitting over .400 this season, led by Julia Dumais at .423. Graciella Dominguez (.411) leads Princeton with 37 hits and Mia Valenzuela (.406) is second on the team in home runs (4) and RBI (21).
- Reece Uehara holds a 7-1 record and a team-best 2.20 ERA. Cassidy Shaw leads the team with 58.2 innings pitched and 48 strikeouts with a 3.58 ERA and 6-3 record.
- Princeton's pitching staff has not allowed more than two runs in any of its last six games.
- Brown is 22-68-1 all-time against the Tigers but won three games against Princeton last year. In the regular season series to close out the schedule, Brown won one of the three games but the Bears beat Princeton twice in the Ivy League Tournament to capture the tournament crown.
- The Bears took two of three in the last road series at Princeton in 2024, winning 6-4 in eight innings and 2-1.
