Cameron Zytkewicz Ray picked up two hits and Amanda Deng and Abby Bettencourt both left the yard for the Bears, but Brown was done in by 11 strikeouts on the day.
Macy Borowski went 5.1 innings and picked up two strikeouts. Edie Cobb threw a scoreless 0.2 innings in relief with a strikeout.
After Borowski stranded two runners in the bottom of the first, the Bears took advantage in the top of the second. Borowski and Zytkewicz Ray started the inning with back-to-back singles. On a sac bunt by Lilly Burns, the throw was wide of first base and allowed Brown's first run to score. Alyssa Villarde drove in the second run with a sac fly to double Brown's lead. Three pitches later, Deng sent a drive over the center field wall to put the Bears up 4-0.
A two-out three run double by Princeton cut into Brown's lead in the bottom of the third and a sac fly in the bottom of the fourth tied the game at four.
With two outs in the top of the fifth, Bettencourt took the first pitch she saw over the left field fence to put the Bears back on top.
Brown's lead would last until the sixth with Princeton score three runs to take a 7-5 lead. Brown would go down in order to end the game.
