Softball Resumes Ivy Play with Road Series at Yale

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown softball resumes Ivy League play with its first league road trip of the season as the Bears will head to Yale for three games over the weekend.
Due to forecasted temperatures, the series schedule has slightly shifted with a single game being played on Saturday (March 28) and a doubleheader being played on Sunday (March 29). Play on both days is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m.
All three games of the series with the Bulldogs will be streamed on ESPN+.

ABOUT THE BEARS
- Brown is coming off a doubleheader sweep at Rhode Island on Wednesday (March 25) in a series that saw the bats heat up for the Bears. Brown scored 16 runs in the second game of the day, hitting five home runs.
- The 16 runs are the most since 2022 and the five home runs are the most in a game since at least 2012.
- Cameron Zytkewicz Ray leads the team with a .308 batting average and 16 hits.
- Maggie Foxx, Elli Thompson and Lilly Burns all have a team-high three home runs. Foxx and Thompson are both tied with for the team lead with 13 RBI.
- Macy Borowski leads Brown in the circle with a 5-5 record and 3.57 ERA. Borowski has 67 strikeouts in 70.2 innings pitched, including nine strikeouts in the complete game victory at Rhode Island. The junior is also second on the team with a .300 batting average.
- Yale is 8-17 on the season and 2-4 in Ivy League play. The Bulldogs have lost three-straight coming into the weekend, getting swept in a midweek doubleheader against Sacred Heart.
- The Bulldogs went 1-2 in both Ivy series they have played this season, earning a win against both Cornell and Harvard.
- Libby Peoples leads the lineup with a .365 batting average. Grace Westmoreland and Elena Ohe are also both hitting over .300.
- The Bulldogs only have five home runs this season but have collected 22 stolen bases on 31 attempts.
- Emma Taylor leads the pitching staff with a 3.91 ERA and four wins in 12 starts. Taylor has thrown a team-high 62.2 innings and has 47 strikeouts to just 14 walks.
- Brown is 56-65 all-time against the Bulldogs but swept the season series at home last year. Brown comfortably won all three games, winning 7-3, 6-1, 5-1.
- The last series in New Haven (2024) was won by the Bulldogs as Yale took two games, winning the first two 6-4, 4-3, before Brown took game three of the series 7-6.
