Men’s Lacrosse Travels to No. 8 Harvard on Saturday

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Brown men's lacrosse (5-4, 0-2 Ivy) will travel to No. 8 Harvard (8-1, 2-0 Ivy) on Saturday, Apr. 4, the opening face-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Jordan Field.
Scouting Brown
In Brown's last outing, Marcus Wertheim posted a career-high eight points; the senior has 14 points over the last two games. Wertheim leads the Bears in assists (13) and points (34). Wertheim ranks sixth in the Ivy League in goals per game (2.33) and points per game (3.78), he also ranks seventh in assists per game (1.44). The St. James, N.Y. native recorded his 100th career point against Princeton (Mar. 28).
Jeremy Hopsicker leads the Bears in goals (25), he ranks tied for second in the Ivy League in total goals and third in goals per game (2.78). As a team, the Bears are averaging 13.3 goals per game over the last three contests.
Brown also leads the Ivy League in shots on goal per game (26.11) and man-up goals per game (1.78). Brown ranks fifth nationally in man-up offense (.533).

The Crimson welcomed the Bears after suffering their first loss of the season with a 17-7 defeat to then-No. 4 North Carolina. Harvard leads the Ivy League in goals per game (14.0) and points per game (21.33).
Individually, Teddy Malone (2.78) and Jack Speidell (2.67) rank in the top five in the Ivy League in goals per game. Speidell ranks second in the Ivy League in points per game (4.0). Graham Stevens leads the Ivy League in save percentage (.574) and saves per game (13.78); he ranks in the top five nationally in both categories.

Saturday will be the 75th all-time meeting between Brown and Harvard. The Bears will look to snap a four-game losing streak against the Crimson, the last four games between Brown and Harvard have been decided by one goal.
