Men's Hockey Travels to Take On No. 5 Quinnipiac and Princeton

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown Bears (4-17-1, 3-10-1 ECAC) hit the road to take on the fifth-ranked Quinnipiac Bobcats (20-5-3, 11-2-1 ECAC) on Friday before closing out the weekend against the Princeton Tigers (12-9-1, 8-6-0 ECAC) on Saturday.
Both games are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. and will stream on ESPN+ in the United States and on Stretch Internet internationally.

SCOUTING THE BEARS
- The Bears enter the weekend with a 4-17-1 overall record and 3-10-1 ECAC mark.
- Most recently, Brown skated to a 3-3 tie against Colgate before a hard-fought loss to 10th-ranked Cornell at Meehan Auditorium.
- Brown averages 2.2 goals per game to rank 10th in the conference. Ben Poitras leads the team with eight goals. Ivan Zadvernyuk leads the Bears with 11 assists and 17 points.
- Brown's power play enters the weekend at 8.3% (5-60). The Bears went 2-for-8 last weekend on the man-advantage with Poitras and Ryan St. Louis finding the back of the net.
- Defensively, Brown allows 3.5 goals per game to rank ninth in the conference.
- Goaltender Tyler Shea holds a 3.03 goals against average and .915 save percentage in 15 starts this season.
- Shea has started the last six games and has a 2.67 goals against average and .925 save percentage in that span.
- Brown's penalty kill clicks at 72% (54-75) to rank 11th in the conference.
- Brown's 48.5% faceoff percentage ranks ninth in the conference. Among centers with 200 or more faceoffs taken this season, Mike Cataldo's 53.5% win-rate ranks 16th in the ECAC and 68th nationally.
- Quinnipiac enters the weekend with a 20-5-3 overall record and 11-2-1 ECAC mark. The Bobcats are ranked fifth in both the USCHO.com and the USA Hockey polls.
- Quinnipiac is 8-1-1 over its last 10 games and also holds a 10-0-2 record at home this season.
- Offensively, Quinnipiac averages 4.1 goals per game to lead the conference and rank second nationally.
- Chris Pelosi and Markus Vidicek lead the Bobcats with 16 goals apiece.
- Ethan Wyttenbach leads the team with 26 assists and 41 points. His 41 points and 1.46 points per game lead the NCAA.
- Seven Bobcats have at least 20 points this season and another eight have at least 10 points this season.
- Quinnipiac's power play clicks at 24.5% (27-110) to rank second in the ECAC and tied for 11th nationally.
- Quinnipiac's 110 power play opportunities are the second-most in the NCAA, trailing only Penn State (113).
- Defensively, the Bobcats allow 2.2 goals per game to rank third in the ECAC and tied for fifth nationally.
- Matej Marinov holds a 2.31 goals against average and .901 save percentage in 19 starts. Dylan Silverstein holds a 1.75 goals against average and .920 save percentage in nine starts.
- Quinnipiac's penalty kill ranks fourth in the ECAC and 17th nationally at 83.7% (72-86).
- Quinnipiac's 56.6% faceoff percentage is tied for best in the NCAA with Cornell.
- Friday marks the 54th meeting between Brown and Quinnipiac in a series dating back to 2006.
- Quinnipiac owns the series edge, 36-10-7, along with a 26-5-3 home record.
- Princeton enters the weekend with a 12-9-1 overall record and 8-6-0 ECAC mark. The Tigers own a 9-1-0 home record this season.

- Between the pipes, Arthur Smith holds a 2.46 goals against average and a .913 save percentage in 10 starts. Conor Callaghan holds a 2.59 goals against average and a .899 save percentage in 11 starts.
- The penalty kill ranks eighth in the ECAC and 35th nationally at 79.7% (72-86).
- Saturday marks the 188th meeting between Brown and Princeton in a series dating back to 1900.
- Brown is 95-79-13 in the series along with a 42-42-8 record in the Garden State.
- The series has been extremely close of late with the last five games being decided by a goal or less.
