Men's Hockey Hosts Clarkson and St. Lawrence in Weekend Series

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown Bears (3-12-0, 2-6-0 ECAC) return to conference play at Meehan Auditorium to take on the Clarkson Golden Knights (9-11-0, 3-5-0 ECAC) on Friday and the St. Lawrence Saints (2-16-2, 1-7-0 ECAC).
Friday's game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. and will air on SNY. Saturday's puck drop is set for 4 p.m. Both games will stream on ESPN+ in the United States and on Stretch Internet internationally.

SCOUTING THE BEARS
- Brown enters the weekend with a 3-12-0 overall record and 2-6-0 ECAC mark. The Bears are 10th in the ECAC standings and just five points behind Colgate in sixth.
- Brown's offense averages 2.3 goals per game to rank ninth in the ECAC. Ryan St. Louis leads the team with six goals and Ivan Zadvernyuk leads the squad with 10 assists and 12 points.
- Brown's power play has three goals in 39 attempts (7.7%) with Zadvernyuk, Ben Poitras, and Michael Salandra tallying the man-up goals.
- Defensively, the Bears allow 3.7 goals per game. Tyler Shea holds a 3.25 goals against average and .909 save percentage in nine starts. Fred Halyk owns a 3.98 goals against average and .885 save percentage in six starts.
- Brown's penalty kill clicks at 74.5% (41-55) to rank 11th in the conference.
- Clarkson enters the weekend with a 9-11-0 overall record and a 3-5-0 ECAC mark. The Golden Knights are ninth in the standings with nine league points.
- Clarkson has won four straight games entering Friday with victories over Cornell, Colgate, RIT, and Niagara.
- Offensively, Clarkson averages 2.9 goals per game to rank seventh in the ECAC.
- Ryan Bottrill leads the team with 16 assists and 21 points. Talon Sigurdson and Owen Van Steensel lead the team with seven goals apiece.
- Clarkson's power play clicks at 16.5% (13-79) to rank eighth in the ECAC. Sigurdson and Tate Taylor have three man-up goals apiece.
- Defensively, the Golden Knights allow 3.1 goals per game to rank sixth in the ECAC.
- Between the pipes, Shane Soderwall owns a 2.70 goals against average and .903 save percentage in 18 starts.
- Clarkson's penalty kill ranks fourth in the ECAC and 17th nationally at 83.8% (62-74). The Golden Knights have allowed two power play goals over the last seven games.
- Friday marks the 108th meeting between Brown and Clarkson in a series dating back to 1952.
- Clarkson owns the series edge, 75-22-10, along with a 29-12-4 record at Meehan Auditorium.
- Brown has won three consecutive games over Clarkson and looks for a program-best fourth straight win over the Golden Knights.
- St. Lawrence enters the weekend with a 2-16-2 overall record and 1-7-0 ECAC mark. Most recently, the Saints skated to a 3-3 tie against Stonehill to snap a 10-game losing streak.
- Offensively, St. Lawrence averages 2.2 goals per game to rank tenth in the ECAC. Tyler Cristall leads the team with eight goals and 12 assists for 20 points. Rasmus Svartstrom also has eight goals for the Saints.
- The power play clicks at 12.2% (9-74) to rank 11th in the ECAC and 59th nationally.
- Defensively, the Saints allow 4.4 goals per game to rank last in the conference. Goaltender Mason Kucenski holds a 3.96 goals against average and .877 save percentage in 13 starts. Colin Winn owns a 4.21 goals against average and .888 save percentage in six starts.
- The penalty kill ranks last in the conference at 68.9% (42-61).
- Saturday is the 105th meeting between the Bears and Saints in a series dating back to 1952.
- St. Lawrence is 53-36-13 in the series but the Bears have a 20-19-3 record at Meehan Auditorium.
- Brown looks for its third straight win over the Saints in the series.
- Brown picked up season sweeps over both Clarkson and St. Lawrence for the first time in program history in 2024-25.
- The Bears picked up a 1-0 win at Clarkson after Charlie Gollob scored with half a second remaining on November 22, 2024. The following night, Brian Nicholas struck in overtime for a 2-1 win over the Saints.
- It marked Brown's third road sweep over the Golden Knights and Saints in program history, joining road sweeps in November 2004 and February 2002.

- Ryan St. Louis recorded his first multi-point game of the season with two goals against Harvard (Dec. 6).
- He added his second two-goal game of the season against Merrimack (Jan. 3).
- St. Louis recorded 10 multi-point games in 2024-25 to lead the Bears.
- Brown battled to the end in a 3-2 non-conference loss to the Merrimack Warriors in the first game of 2026 at Meehan Auditorium.
- St. Louis scored both goals for the Bears and Ivan Zadvernyuk picked up two assists.
