No. 20 Women’s Lacrosse Set to Battle No. 5 Princeton in Ivy League Tournament Semifinal

PRINCETON, N.J. - The No. 20 Brown Women's Lacrosse Team (10-5, 4-3) will take on No. 5 Princeton (13-2, 6-1) in its first-ever Ivy League Tournament semifinal on Friday, the opening draw control is set for 4:00 p.m. at Sherrerd Field at Class of 1952 Stadium.
Princeton is the No. 1 seed in the Ivy League Tournament, Brown is the No. 4 seed. The second semifinal will be between No. 2 Yale and No. 3 Penn. Fans can purchase tickets here.

History Made
Brown punched its first-ever ticket to the Ivy League Tournament on April 19. At 10-5 overall, Brown has tied a program record for most wins in a season, the fourth time they have hit that mark, joining the 1978, 1996, 1997, and 2024 squads.
Regular Season Recap
Brown opened the 2025 season 4-0, the first time since 2014 they've opened a season with four-straight victories. The Bears outscored their opponents 80-17 through the first four games of the season.
Overall, Brown went 6-2 in non-conference action with both losses coming against ranked opponents.
The Bears won four consecutive Ivy League games earlier this season, two of which came against nationally ranked opponents in then-No. 24 Harvard (12-10) and then-No. 7 Yale (14-11). The team also put together strong, down-to-the-wire showings against highly ranked opponents in then-No. 11 Duke (14-13 loss) and this weekend's 15-13 defeat at No. 5 Princeton. Brown has also consistently ranked in the top 25 in RPI this season, currently slotting in at No. 25.
Four Bears Earn All-Ivy Honors
Annie Burton was named First Team All-Ivy while Codi Johnson and Greta Criqui were named Second Team All-Ivy. Maddie Joyce earned Honorable Mention honors and Criqui was named Academic All-Ivy. Read about the four All-Ivy honorees here.
Scouting Brown (10-4, 4-3)
Brown ranks fourth in the nation and first in the Ivy League with 8.73 assists per game, the Bears also sit ninth nationally with 23.33 points per game. Brown's points per game total also leads the Ivy League.
Annie Burton ranks 10th nationally with 49 total assists and sixth nationally with 3.27 assists per game. The senior is two assists away from breaking Brown's single season assists record, set by Lauren Becker who had 50 in 1986.
Claire Mahoney's 9.01 goals against average ranks ninth nationally and first in the Ivy League.
Scouting Princeton (13-2, 6-1)
The top-seeded Tigers boast the 10th-best offense in the nation with 15.87 goals per game. McKenzie Blake ranks seventh nationally with 66 total goals and fourth nationally with 4.40 goals per game. Blake was named the Ivy League Attacker of the Year.
Haven Dora ranks seventh in the nation with 3.13 assists per game, Dora was named First Team All-Ivy.
Along with their No. 5 national ranking, Princeton is No. 4 in RPI.

Princeton is 40-5 all-time against Brown, the Bears are 0-2 against the Tigers under head coach Katrina Dowd.
On April 19, Brown and Princeton played for a share of the Ivy League Regular Season Championship, the Tigers picked up a narrow 15-13 win over the Bears.
