Annie Burton Named First Team All-Ivy as Four Bears Earn Conference Recognition

PRINCETON, N.J. - Annie Burton of the Brown women's lacrosse team was named First Team All-Ivy as four additional Bears garnered All-Ivy honors, the Ivy League announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Burton picked up her second career All-Ivy honor after being named Second Team All-Ivy last season. The senior posted a career-best season with 49 assists and 65 points. Burton's 49 assists this season marks the second-most in a season in program history, she is currently two assists away from passing Lauren Becker's 50 assists during the 1986 season. Earlier this year, Burton became the third player in program history to be named to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List. The Chatham, N.J. native had four or more assists in four games this season. Her eight assists against Vermont (Mar. 1), was the second-most in a single game in program history. Burton recorded her 100th career point on Feb. 21 against Holy Cross, and currently has 96 career assists.
Greta Criqui was named to the Second Team after notching career-highs with 48 goals, 10 assists, 58 points, and 36 draw controls. Criqui scored at least one goal in 14 out of 15 games this season, posting her 100th career goal on Apr. 8 at Bryant. She also recorded her 100th career point against Harvard on Mar. 29. She was named Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week on Feb. 24 after scoring 13 goals in Brown's wins over Holy Cross (Feb. 21) and Sacred Heart (Feb. 23). Criqui's 48 goals this season is tied for fifth for the most goals in a single season in program history. The Essex Falls, N.J. native was also named Academic All-Ivy.
Codi Johnson joined Criqui on the Second Team after having a career-best season. The sophomore posted career-highs with 14 ground balls, 16 caused turnovers, and 16 draw controls. Johnson posted two or more caused turnovers in four games this season. The Silver Spring, Md. native started in all 15 regular season games this season.
Maddie Joyce was named Honorable Mention All-Ivy after scoring a career-high 24 goals to go along with career-highs with 29 points, 25 ground balls, 11 caused turnovers, and 20 draw controls.
Brown will play in its first-ever Ivy League Tournament beginning on Friday, May 2 when they take on top-seeded Princeton at 4 p.m. at Sherrerd Field at Class of 1952 Stadium.
