Elle Riley Breaks School Record as Brown Competes at Bob Davidson Team Challenge

HIGH POINT, N.C. – The Brown track and field programs competed at the Bob Davidson Team Challenge in High Point, North Carolina on Friday and Saturday. The men finished fifth out of eight teams with a total of 66 points, while the women finished fourth of nine teams with a total of 93 points.
WOMEN
Elle Riley set a new school record in the women's 100 meter hurdles with a time of 13.80. The record time comes just 20 days after she broke the Brown indoor 60 meter hurdles record.
Delaney Seligmann set the fourth best school record in the women's long jump with a mark of 6.15 meters. She placed first in the event.
Other top finishers included Kate Scanlan who finished fifth in the 400 meter race with a time of 56.97. Katrina Sortland and Julia Schriefer finished third and fourth respectively in the 800 meter race, recording personal bests. Sortland finished with a time of 2:12.81 and Schriefer finished in 2:12.97.
Isolde McManus (4:32.88) and Nimrit Ahuja (4:33.16) finished first and second respectively in the 1500 meter race. Maddelynn Brooks (2nd/1:00.94) and Kareema McKenzie (1:02.92) shined in the 400 meter hurdles for the Bears.
Nene Mokonchu finished first in the women's high jump with a mark of 1.71 meters. That mark was just shy of her personal best (1.73). Jada Joseph also nearly eclipsed her personal best, winning the triple jump with a mark of 12.72 meters.
MEN
Joseph Oduro set the sixth best men's triple jump mark in school history with 15.40 meters. He placed first in the event.
Other strong performances included Jason Estrada who finished sixth in the 400 meter race with a time of 48.58. John Ryan (5th/1:54.33) and Jake Haley (7th/1:55.49) competed in the men's 800 meter race.
Sebastian Margetts (3:52.43) and Justin Hickey (3:58.97) finished third and fourth place respectively in the 1500 meter race. Ethan Wordell (3rd/57.96m) and Keith Daigneau (4th/56.76m) performed well in the men's hammer throw competition.
UP NEXT
The track and field programs will remain in North Carolina for another week and will compete at the Raleigh Relays hosted by NC State.
