Baseball to Open Ivy League Play this Weekend at Columbia

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Riding a two-game winning streak and coming off a series win over Bryant last weekend, the Brown baseball team is set to open Ivy League play this weekend with a trip to preseason favorite Columbia.

- Junior outfielder Mika Petersen is hitting .375 and carries a 10-game hitting streak into the weekend.
- Nathan Brasher is heating up with hits in four of his last five games and is 7-for-22 over that span.
- Junior infielder DJ Dillehay has a four-game hitting streak, going 6-for-15 over that stretch.
- Senior second baseman Gunner Boree hit a game-winning three-run homer with two outs in the ninth to help the Bears take game two and the doubleheader sweep from Bryant on Sunday.
- A pair of freshman arms have delivered key performances for the Bears of late, with Luke Trout taking a no-hitter into the fifth inning at Georgia Southern two weeks ago, and Ian Keusch going 4.0 innings without allowing an earned run in Sunday's game two win at Bryant.

- Winners of 10 straight home openers and a 40-9 home record since 2022, the Lions will play at Satow Field for the first time in 2025 this weekend.
- The reigning regular season champions and unanimous preseason No. 1 pick in 2025, Columbia has won three of its last four games, including a three-game sweep last weekend at the University of San Diego, before falling in a midweek game at Cal State Northridge.
- Anton Lazits and Ben Fishel will carry six-game hitting streaks into the weekend, with Fishel leading the way with a .414 batting average.
- Sam Miller is hitting .297 with a team-leading 19 hits.
- Lazits is hitting .250 with a team-leading seven home runs, 16 runs scored and 19 RBIs.
