Women's Basketball Travels to Princeton and Penn This Weekend

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Brown women's basketball team will travel to Princeton and Penn this weekend for their first back-to-back on the road this season.Â
The Bears will take on the Tigers at Jadwin Gymnasium on Friday. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. The team will then head to Penn to take on the Quakers at The Palestra on Saturday. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m.Â
Both games will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

Scouting the Bears (10-11, 4-4 Ivy)
- The Bears fell to the Columbia Lions in their contest at home last weekend.
- Senior guard Isabella Mauricio posted 15 points against the Lions, moving into 21st place in career points with 1,027. Mauricio has now passed Trish Wurtz, Grace Arnolie, Sophie Bikofsky, and Jordin Alexander.
- Brown ranks second in the conference in three-pointers made netting 155 triples this season, averaging 7.4 per game. Columbia ranks above the Bears with nine more triples, and an average of 7.8 per game.
- Guards Grace Arnolie, Gia Powell, and Olivia Young occupy fourth, fifth, and sixth place in three-pointers per game in the Ivy League. Arnolie averages 1.8 threes per game, Powell with 1.7, and Young with 1.6.
- Brown currently sits at fourth place in the conference behind Columbia, Princeton, and Harvard.
- The Tigers posted a 74-60 win over Penn last weekend, extending their win streak to four.
- Ashley Chea continues to lead the Tigers, posting 25 points in their win over Penn. Chea's performance earned her Ivy League Player of the Week for the second time this season.Â
- Princeton ranks fourth in offense in the conference, just one place above Brown. The Tigers' defense ranks third in the Ivy League.Â
- The Tigers' Parker Hill ranks first in the conference in field goal percentage with a .661.
- Princeton is currently in second place in the Ivy League, one game behind Columbia in first place.
- The Quakers lost their most recent game to Princeton 60-74.
- Penn's offense ranks third in the conference, above both Princeton and Brown. Their defense ranks sixth in the Ivy League.
- The Quakers' Stina Almqvist has played the most minutes in the league with a total of 748 minutes, averaging 35.6 minutes per game. Almqvist has held onto first place for the majority of the season. She also ranks third in the conference in scoring with an avergae of 17 points per game.
- Penn's Gayle Mataya averages 3.9 assists per game, just below Grace Arnolie's 4.0 per game.
- The Bears played a tight contest against the Tigers in their last meeting on Feb. 1. Princeton ultiamtely came out on top with a final score of 60-47. The Bears look to bounce back on Friday.
- Brown has a 31-59 all-time record against Princeton that dates back to 1974.
- Brown posted a 65-57 win over the Quakers in their last matchup on Jan. 31, extending their win streak against Penn to two.
- The Bears have a 38-56 all-time record against the Quakers that goes back to the 1974-75 season.
