Men’s Basketball Concludes Brown Bears Invitational Against Holy Cross on Tuesday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown men's basketball team (0-4) will conclude the Brown Bears Invitational on Tuesday, Nov. 18 when they welcome Holy Cross (1-3), tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. inside the Pizzitola Sports Center.

Last Time Out
Brown dropped the first game of the Brown Bears Invitational with a 72-63 loss against Hampton (Nov. 14).
N'famara Dabo recorded 11 blocks against the Pirates, his 11 blocks are the most in a single game in program history and the second-most by an Ivy League player in a single game. Dabo's 11 rejections are the most by a player in a game across the nation this season. Dabo also recorded his second double-double of the season with 11 points and 11 blocks.
Jeremiah Jenkins netted a career high 21 points against Hampton, the sophomore shot 5-6 from three-point range, Isaiah Langham scored 13 points in his first-ever collegiate start.
Scouting Brown
Dabo leads the Ivy League with 3.75 blocks per game and 15 total blocks, both rank sixth nationally. As a team, the Bears lead the Ivy League with 6.3 rejections per game and rank 20th nationally.
Jenkins' 6.3 assists per game leads the Ivy League and ranks 28th nationally. The sophomore has accumulated four or more assists in every game this season. The New Britain, Conn. native is averaging 11.0 points, 3.8 rebounds, 6.3 assists, and 1.5 steals per game on 47.4 shooting from beyond the arc.
In two games last week, Langham averaged 16.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists on 12-21 shooting from the floor and 9-10 shooting from the free throw line. The Stoughton, Mass. native was named Ivy League Rookie of the Week.
Scouting Holy Cross
Holy Cross opened the Brown Bears Invitational with a 67-61 win over Hampton (Nov. 16) for its first win of the season. Joe Nugent led the Crusaders with 22 points on 6-10 shooting from the floor and 4-7 shooting from beyond the arc.
As a team, Holy Cross shot 51.1 percent against Hampton. Tyler Boston leads Holy Cross with averages of 15.0 points and 3.3 assists per game, Nugent is second with 13.8 points per game.
Defensively, the Crusaders are averaging 6.3 steals per game and had 10 in its last contest.
History
Brown is 18-45 against Holy Cross and 1-4 under Martin. The Crusaders defeated the Bears 73-65 last season at the Pizzitola Sports Center.
