Martin Collects 100th Win at Pizzitola as Men’s Basketball Defeats Holy Cross

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Men's Basketball Head Coaching Chair Mike Martin '04 earned his 100th career win at the Pizzitola Sports Center as the Brown men's basketball team (1-4) defeated Holy Cross (1-4) 68-49, on Tuesday evening for its first win of the 2025-26 season.
"I thought everybody contributed in a huge way to tonight's win," Martin said. "It's something we have to build off of. I thought our defense was outstanding, but our offense generated a lot of good looks."
After Holy Cross opened the game with a three-pointer, Brown launched a 10-0 run after making its first four shots. The Bears went on to hit five out of their first six shots as they took a 12-7 lead into the first media timeout of the game.
Brown led by as much as 18 in the first half behind 13-27 shooting from the floor and 13 points off of Holy Cross turnovers. Reigning Ivy League Rookie of the Week Isaiah Langham led the way offensively in the first half with nine points on 3-8 shooting from the floor.
Luke Paragon and Adrian Uchidiuno each tallied eight first half points, the two juniors combined to shoot 5-7 from the floor in the opening 20 minutes.
The Bears kept their foot on the gas in the second half as they shot 12-25 from the floor and 4-10 from three-point range. Langham continued his strong stretch with nine second half points, Uchidiuno chipped in with eight while N'famara Dabo scored seven points in the second half and grabbed seven rebounds.
Brown led by as much as 23 in the second half, it was its largest advantage of the season.
Langham led the way for Brown with 19 points, the freshman has scored in double figures in three-straight games and is averaging 17.0 points per game during this stretch. Uchidiuno poured in a career high 16 points on 6-9 shooting from the floor and 4-6 shooting from beyond the arc.
Dabo recorded his second-straight double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds, the junior has three double-doubles in five games this season.
Brown's bench outscored Holy Cross' 20-3, the Bears also scored 22 points off turnovers while holding the Crusaders to seven. Brown's 22 points off turnovers is a season-high.
Brown will begin a stretch of four-straight games on the road beginning on Thursday, Nov. 20 at Stony Brook, tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
