Men’s Soccer Welcomes Penn for Saturday Matinee Matchup

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown men's soccer team will welcome the Penn Quakers to Stevenson-Pincince Field on Saturday afternoon. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
Saturday's match is the first in a doubleheader with the women's team, serving as Alumni Day for both programs.
The match will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

Scouting the Bears (5-3-1, 1-1 Ivy)
- The Bears last played on Saturday, Oct. 4, where they dropped their first conference match 1-0 to then-ranked No. 13 Princeton.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Max Pfaffman made his fifth-straight start, allowing just one goal in his 90 minutes between the pipes.
- Pfaffman capped off the night with a .857 save percentage, making six saves. He continues the season with a .810 overall.
- In his five outings so far this season, Pfaffman has allowed only one goal or less, keeping his goals against average at .800.
- Pfaffman ranks third in the Ivy League in saves per game with 3.40. He also ranks fourth in goals against average (.800), and save percentage (.810).
- Junior forward Lorenzo Amaral still holds third place in the conference in shots (3.00/g) and shots on goal (1.22/g).
- He ranks sixth in assists (.444) and 10th in points (.89).
- Senior midfielder Mads Stistrup Petersen ranks seventh in the Ivy League in points, averaging 1.00 per game. He also holds onto 10th in goals, with an average of .333 per game.
- First-year forward Mateo Pereyra, junior forward Carlo Brown, and senior forward Jamin Gogo Peters claim eighth, ninth, and 10th place in the conference in game-winning goals respectively.
- The Quakers were selected to finish first in the Ivy League Preseason Poll with 120 points and 10 first-place votes.
- Jack-Ryan Jeremiah was named to the United Soccer Coaches Division I Midfielders to Watch List.
- In their last time out Penn defeated Temple 1-0, with Oliver Pratt earning the Quakers' lone goal.
- The Quakers most recent conference game was against Harvard, when they blanked the Crimson 2-0. Malachi Neal and Patrick Cayelli scored Penn's goals.
- Cayelli leads the Quakers by quite a margin, with 14 points (4G, 6A). Romeo Dahlen trails Cayelli with four goals for eight points.
- Both of Penn's goalkeepers rank within the top 10 of all statistical categories in the Ivy League for goalkeepers.
- Phillip Falcon III has the second-best goals against average in the conference with .400. David Howard holds sixth with 1.000.
- Falcon also has the second-highest save percentage in the Ivy with .846.
- The Bears visited the Quakers twice during last year. They first met for a regular season match, and later met for the Ivy League Tournament semifinal.
- The Quakers collected a 2-0 win during the regular season contest, and defeated the Bears 2-1 in overtime in the Ivy League Tournament.
- Brown has an edge over the Quakers with a 33-30-11 all-time record.
