Gogo Peters Signs Professional Contract with Rhode Island FC

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Senior forward Jamin Gogo Peters has signed his first professional contract with Rhode Island FC of the USL Championship.
"Congratulations to Jamin and his family, we are all extremely proud of him!" Friends of Brown Men's Soccer Head Coaching Chair Chase Wileman said. "His signing continues the long tradition of Brown men's soccer producing professional players, and he is joining a first class organization and coaching staff at Rhode Island FC."
"I want to highlight all of the great work our Division of Athletics and Recreation is doing to provide staffing, resources, and a platform for our student-athletes to pursue their dreams of being a pro and earning an Ivy League degree," Wileman added.
Gogo Peters appeared in 62 games for the Bears, starting in 43. He tallied 12 goals and three assists in his time on the pitch. He collected multiple accolades throughout his career as a Bear including being named Second Team All-Ivy, and to College Soccer News' All-Freshman Second Team. As a freshman, Gogo Peters led the Bears in scoring with seven goals and an assist for a team-high 15 points. During his sophomore year, Gogo Peters recorded an assist in Brown's 2-1 win over UMass Lowell. He began his junior season scoring the game-winning goal in Brown's season-opening win against Lehigh. He went on to score another goal, and record an assist for the year. This past season, Gogo Peters posted three goals, including the game-winning goal in the Bears' home-opening win over Holy Cross.
"I want to thank Jesus first for this opportunity, and for always looking out for me because without him I wouldn't be in this position and be who I am today. It's truly a blessing," Gogo Peters said.
"I'm also extremely grateful for every player and staff member I've been with throughout my four years, I'll never forget the experiences and support I've had from each and every one of them. I'm blessed to have been a part of Brown and the program," Gogo Peters added.
