BROWN TAKES SECOND PLACE AT SCSU QUAD
The Bears took four of the top five spots on beam last weekend at SCSU while posting the No. 3 score in program history (48.925), with Jessica Lin, Emily Ford and Lindsey Yang all scoring 9.800. Brown swept the top two spots on the podium on bars with Liza Marcus (9.775) and Maya Davis (9.725) leading the way. Sophia Dewar (9.800) led the way in second place on vault, while Julia Bedell scored 9.775 to tie for third on both vault and floor.
SEASON-OPENER RECAP
Brown scored 190.300 in the January 10 season-opener against Iowa and Iowa State. The Bears have now put up at least 190 points in three consecutive season-openers, marking just the second time in program history they accomplished the feat, joining the 2013-2015 squads. Four of Brown's 11 gymnasts that competed at Iowa State were making their collegiate debuts.

NCAA REGIONALS
Julia Bedell was the only Ivy League gymnast to compete at NCAA Regionals in 2024 when she competed on floor at the Florida Regional in Gainesville, posting a score of 9.650.
2024 USAG RECAP
Last season, Brown had six athletes qualify for the individual finals at USAG Nationals, who combined for 10 All-America accolades. Four of those gymnasts return in 2025, with six All-America honors between them including Julia Bedell (vault), Maya Davis (bars and floor), Sophia Dewar (vault and floor) and Liza Marcus (beam).
GEC CHAMPIONSHIPS
Brown finished third at the 2024 GEC Championships, scoring 194.450 points and having four athletes combine to earn five All-GEC Championship team honors. The Bears have finished in the top four at each of the first three GEC Championships since the inaugural meet in 2022.
NATIONAL QUALIFYING SCORES
The Bears have posted the three highest National Qualifying Scores in program history the last three regular seasons, with a 194.315 in 2023, 194.020 in 2024 and 193.695 in 2022.
The Bears ranked 59th nationally in both 2022 and 2023, tying for their highest rank in program history.
SMART COOKIES
In 2023, Brown was recognized by the WCGA as having the highest team GPA in all of college gymnastics. It was the first time the Bears were ranked inside the top five since the beginning of the award in 2008. Brown ranked 20th in 2022 and 23rd in 2024.
