Eight Brown Gymnasts Earn All-GEC Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Eight Brown gymnasts have combined to earn 12 All-Gymnastics East Conference honors, the conference announced on Wednesday. The all-conference awards recognize the top performers across each event based on their National Qualifying Score (NQS) from the regular season.
First team honorees rank among the top six NQS scores in the conference (including ties), while second teamers rank in the next six spots (including ties).
In total, the Bears earned six first team and six second team honors.

Sophia Dewar (Vault) – (9.775)
Liza Marcus (Bars) – (9.775)
Emily Ford (Beam) – (9.815)
Lindsay Van Eyk (Beam) – (9.800)
Liza Marcus (Beam) – (9.775)

SECOND TEAM
Lulu Ton-That (Vault) – (9.775)
Emily Ford (Vault) – (9.730)

Entering this weekend's championships, Ford ranks No. 1 in the GEC on beam, while Dewar sits as the No. 1 seed on floor. Regionally, Dewar ranks No. 9 on floor in the Northeast, while Ford sits tied for 14th on beam.
In addition, the conference announced on Wednesday that all 19 Brown gymnasts have earned GEC Scholar-Athlete honors.
Brown is the No. 3 seed in the upcoming GEC Championships, which will take place on Saturday at Cornell. The Bears will compete in the evening session starting at 5 p.m. along with Penn, Yale and Cornell as the top four seeds. Both sessions will be streamed live on ESPN+.
