ITHACA, N.Y. – The Brown gymnastics team took third place on Saturday evening at the 2026 GEC Championships after posting a score of 194.525.
Senior Liza Marcus capped her collegiate career by winning her first GEC individual title on bars by scoring 9.825. Four Brown gymnasts combined for five All-GEC Championship honors, which are awarded to the top six placers on each event.
Junior Lindsey Yang was recognized with a major award, being selected for the Performance of the Year for her 9.925 performance on beam during the team's dual meet win at Yale back on January 18. The routine drew attention across the gymnastics community, including recognition from Olympic medalist and NCAA commentator Kathy Johnson Clarke and tied the program record that had stood alone since 2001.
