Men’s Basketball Visits Cornell on Monday Afternoon

ITHACA, N.Y. - The Brown men's basketball team (8-7, 0-2) will travel to Cornell (10-5, 2-0) on Monday, Jan. 20, tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. at Newman Arena.

Last Time Out
Brown suffered an 80-67 in its Ivy League home opener on Saturday, Jan. 20. The loss moved the Bears to 0-2 to begin ivy League play.
Kino Lilly Jr. led all scores with 22 points, Alexander Lesburt Jr. chipped in with 12 points.
History Made, The Chase Continues
Kino Lilly Jr. is now the all-time leader in program history with 297 three-pointers made. Lilly Jr. also sits second all-time in career points with 1,693, he is 349 points away from being the all-time program scoring leader.
Lilly Jr. ranks third in Ivy League history in three-pointers made, he is three three-pointers away from being the third player in Ivy League history to reach the 300 triples mark.

Kino Lilly Jr. is averaging 18.9 points on 43.0 shooting from the field and 42.2 shooting from three-point range this season.
The senior is averaging 3.80 three-pointers per game and is on pace to hit 102 triples, which would break Brown's single-season record of 93 set by Sean McGonagill during the 2013-14 season, Lilly Jr. hit 90 triples during the 2023- 24 campaign.
Lilly Jr'.s pace would put him third in Ivy League history for most three-pointers made in a single-season behind Ryan Wittman (Cornell) who hit 109 during the 2009-10 season and Matt Morgan (Cornell) who hit 107 during the 2018-19 season.
Lilly Jr's 3.80 three-pointers per game leads the nation, his 57 total three-pointers made sits 19th nationally. The senior has 63 double-digit scoring efforts and 36 20-point games as a Bear.
Cooley Continues To Impress
Aaron Cooley is averaging 11.0 points and 6.7 rebounds per game, the senior has double-figure scoring efforts in nine out of 15 games and has three double-doubles.
Cooley scored a career-high 19 points in Brown's 84-80 double overtime win over Rhode Island (Dec. 10), he also had a career-high four blocks against the Rams.
Cooley also had a career-high 15 rebounds in Brown's season opener at Siena (Nov. 4). Cooley's 15 rebounds is the second-most by an Ivy League player this season, he's recorded double-digit rebounds in four games. Cooley is shooting 45.9 percent from the floor this season.
Lewis' Leap
In the absence of Nana Owusu-Anane, Landon Lewis has scored in double figures in 12 out of 14 games played this season. Lewis netted a career-high 21 points in Brown's win over Bryant (Dec. 6) on 9-12 shooting from the floor.
Lewis recorded his first career double-double in Brown's win over Sacred Heart (Nov. 17) with 14 points and 11 rebounds, he backed up that effort with 17 points (8-11) shooting at Canisius (Nov. 23).
Lewis' 3.14 offensive boards per game ranks first in the Ivy League, his 7.1 rebounds per game is third in the Ivy League. Lewis' 57.7 field goal percentage ranks 33rd in the nation.
The Los Angeles, Calif. native is averaging 13.3 points and 7.1 rebounds per game this season. On the defensive end, Lewis has recorded four or more blocks on three separate occasions.
Lewis' 1.50 blocks per game ranks third in the Ivy League.
AJ's Big Day
Alexander Lesburt Jr. scored 12 points on 4-10 shooting from the field and 3-8 shooting from three-point range against Harvard (Jan. 18). Lesburt Jr. nailed three first half three-pointers and grabbed a season-high five rebounds.
Lesburt Jr. has nailed three or more triples on four separate occasions this season.
Freshman Spark
David Rochester has shot 6-10 from the floor over the last three games and has shot 2-3 from three-point range. Rochester scored a career-high 11 points while grabbing a career-high eight rebounds against Johnson & Wales (Jan. 5), Rochester then shot a perfect 2-2 from three-point range against Harvard (Jan. 18).
Rochester logged a career-high 19 minutes against Harvard.
Welcome Back, Adrian
Adrian Uchidiuno has continued to impress since returning from injury at Kansas (Dec. 22), the sophomore has scored seven or more points in three out of five games since returning.
Uchidiuno scored a career-high nine points at Kentucky (Dec. 31) and shot a perfect 6-6 from the free throw line.
Uchidiuno netted seven points against Johnson & Wales (Jan. 5) and then netted seven points against Harvard (Jan. 18), he is shooting 8-19 from the floor over the last five games.
Scouting Cornell (10-5, 2-0)
Cornell welcomes Brown with a perfect 2-0 mark in Ivy League play, the Big Red picked up victories at Columbia and Penn to open conference play.
Cornell entered the weekend leading the nation with 21.0 assists per game, AK Okereke paces the Big Red with 4.3 assists per game. All five Cornell starters are averaging double figures.
