Women’s Soccer Welcomes Central Connecticut State On Thursday Evening

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown women's soccer team will play host to Central Connecticut State on Thursday, Sept. 5, kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at Stevenson-Pincince Field.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

Fans are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets online at Brownbears.com/tickets prior to their arrival at Stevenson-Pincince Field. Fans should either download their digital tickets to display on a mobile device or print them at home prior to arrival. There is a no re-entry policy in place for all ticketed athletic events at Brown University, once you have scanned your ticket to enter, you must remain inside the venue.
As part of an effort to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our spectators, Brown Athletics has implemented the following bag policy at athletic events.
Backpacks, duffel bags and other multi-compartment bags are NOT permitted into the venue. Brown Athletics does not provide any storage for prohibited bags and/or items. Bags are subject to be checked upon entry. Clear bags no larger than 12"x12"x6" or small wristlets no larger than (4"x6") are permitted and are strongly encouraged.

Scouting The Bears (0-1-2)
- The Bears welcome the Blue Devils seeking their first win of the 2024 season, Brown has earned 1-1 draws in back-to-back games.
- In their last game, the Bears earned a 1-1 draw against Indiana (Sept. 1), Miya Grant-Clavijo tallied Brown's goal as Ayla Sahin tallied her first career assist in the contest.
- Bella Schopp has started every game in goal for the Bears, Schopp tallied seven saves against Indiana.
- The Blue Devils come to Stevenson-Pincince Field seeking their first win and first goal of the 2024 season.
- The reigning NEC champions have won five NEC regular season titles and five NEC Tournament titles since 2018. The Blue Devils own a 44-3-6 record in NEC play since 2018.
- Brown is the lone Ivy League opponent for Central Connecticut State this season.
- Brown is 4-0-1 against Central Connecticut State all-time and 4-0 under head coach Kia McNeill. The Bears have won four straight games against the Blue Devils (2016, 2017, 2022, 2023).
- The two sides played to a scoreless draw in 2007.
- Last season, the Bears earned a come from behind 4-3 win over the Blue Devils. Trailing 3-1 in the 76th minute, the Bears scored three goals in the final 14 minutes to earn the victory. The comeback was led by two current Bears (Miya-Grant Clavijo & Kira Maguire), Grant-Clavijo had two goals to tie the game at three and Maguire scored the game-winning goal in the 88th minute.
- Bella Schopp also started in goal for the Bears and made three saves in the win.
